Major Endorsement in Assembly District 67 California State Firefighters' Association Endorses Kelly Seyarto
SACRAMENTO, CA - - Today, Kelly Seyarto announced the endorsement of the California State Firefighters' Association (CSFA) in his race for Assembly District 67.
The California State Firefighters' Association is the oldest and largest firefighter association in the state. They represent over 16,000 firefighters and work to advance the fire service in California through leadership, education, and training.
"Your continued efforts in supporting firefighters throughout the state has not gone unnoticed. You have been a strong advocate for firefighters and our issues," President Michael D. Shrout wrote endorsing Seyarto. "CSFA looks forward to working with you and thank you for your support of firefighters."
"This endorsement is a huge honor. As a former firefighter, I understand the needs of the men and women in the fire service, both career and otherwise. It is not an easy job and they deserve all the support we can offer," said Kelly Seyarto. "Especially given the circumstances that have befallen us in the last few years and most recently with the Lightening Complex Fires. Firefighters and first responders need a voice in Sacramento and I intend to be that voice."
Kelly Seyarto served for 35 years as a firefighter until his retirement in 2015 as Battalion Chief. In addition to his work as a firefighter, Seyarto served as a Murrieta Councilman beginning in 1997 including serving four times as Mayor.
The 67th Assembly District is entirely nested inside Riverside County and is home to the major cities of Canyon Lake, Menifee, Murrieta and Wildomar. The 67th District was most recently represented by Assemblywoman Melissa Melendez who was recently elected to the 28th Senate District in a special election to replace Senator Jeff Stone.
